Grand Marina Hotel, World Trade Center, Barcelona, Spain

New building for Grand Marina Hotel which has the shape of a transatlantic and “closes” the plant of Barcelona’s World Trade Center. The 5 stars luxury hotel contains 291 rooms, all of them exterior and has 31 rooms of different sizes and shapes, with natural light and fabulous views of the port and the seafront of Barcelona. The main hall with an imposing spiral staircase and its exterior façade, were designed by Leohming Pei, architect of the famous pyramid that chairs the main entrance to the Louvre´s Museum in Paris. MCK’s performance consisted of being Technical Representative of the hotel operator/Owner Representative in 2000.
